Android and iOS are popular operating systems for portable devices. However time is an important part of computer systems and it helps processors determine timings for its applications. For instance trial software is based on time. But software developers have found ways to restrict users from changing trial period of software and reversing time to some days and months no longer affects software’s trial period

Interestingly a 10-year old girl from California named Cyfi found some games that are affected by changing the clock of portable devices. For instance some games are time based and require some time for users to progress but by advancing the clock Cyfi was able to advance in levels sooner than programmers wanted.

She attended DefCon Kids19 that is one of the longest kids hacking conference in the world where she explained her story. The trick is known as the zero-day because she was able to manipulate the whole game by altering the clock of games in iOS and Android portable devices. However the names of games with faults were not disclosed because it will cause problems to developers.
